CHILDREN'S & YOUTH ACTIVITIES

"Bubbles - is a group for children from birth to 5 year olds. They meet in the Creche room during the Sunday service at 10:15am. They experience a variety of activities ranging from using playdough, cooking, doing arts and crafts, and singing. These activities are based on Scripture Union materials that explore themes from the Bible and their relationship with God.
Splash - is a group for children from 5 to 8 year olds. They meet in the church hall during the Sunday service at 10:15am. Each term we explore a theme from the Bible through games, art activities, quizzes and challenges. We learn about God's word using the Bible, about prayer and our relationship with God.
Xstream:- 9-12 year old group meets regularly during Sunday morning church services - commences 10:15am in church and moves to Sunday school activites during the service.

Ruckus - During our sunday morning services, the youth head out to "Ruckus" - our 11-15's Sunday youth group. Ruckus is a mix of crazy games, weird drama stuff, lessons from the bible, and a chance to get to know other kids better, all served up with a generous portion of fruit and chocolate - just to keep everyone's brains firing.
Ruckus is on every sunday of the school term at the church. We start off IN the 10:15 service, and then move out to do our own thing!

Bedlam - Not around on a sunday? Hoping for something that's easy to invite friends to? Bedlam is our Friday night group for 11-15 year olds that's fun, heavily activity focused, and very crazy. It's super casual, super cheap (just a $2 donation to cover the cost of supper), and great fun - but still with moments that will make you think!
It happens every second friday of the school term, from 6-8pm. We meet at the old St Barney's building, 86 Gage St. Firle (only a suburb or two over from St Georges).
Dates for the rest of 2011 are: Nov 18th, Dec 2nd and a special "End of Year" event on Dec 16th

Furnace - Bit old for Ruckus and Bedlam, but still interested in meeting kids your own age and hearing more about God? Furnace - our 15+ youth group - might be just the thing! We meet every fortnight on a sunday night, share some dinner, get stuck into either a bible passage or some topical issue, and then finish off with some dessert (to recharge drained brains with a bit of blood sugar).
We meet at the old St Barney's building, 86 Gage St. Firle at 6:30pm every second sunday of the school term (although you don't have to be IN school to come!) Cost is only $5 - basically to cover the cost of the awesome dinner!
Dates for the rest of 2011 are: 27th Nov, 4th Dec.
