Educare “Sharing Hope Through Education” Inc

logo

First started in 2000 and incorporated in 2009 its aim is to provide resources for schools in developing countries. Our belief is that education is the key to raise people’s hopes and expectations above the grind of abject poverty and lead to stability and peace.

Unwanted resources are collected from schools, sorted, packed and shipped to needy schools overseas.

Books, stationery items, sporting equipment and backpacks have been sent to Peru, South Africa, Uganda and Tanzania.  Zimbabwe is next.  Goods are sent one pallet at a time so that receiving schools can physically manage the transport and unpacking. A pallet costs on average $1,100 to ship.

We also provide resources for other organizations wishing to take/ send educational materials to resource poor schools. We are supported by Magill Primary School our receiving depot and Visy and Kumon who provide cartons for packing.

There is a wonderful group of supporters who are serving Christ by serving others.  Volunteers to help collect, sort and pack books are always welcome.  We meet the third Thursday of each month (except December and January) at 10:00 am in the church hall complex.

Donations are always welcome and membership is available by contacting the church office.

Our major fund raiser is through the sale of the gorgeous and reasonably priced Phoenix greeting cards and stationery product range. Follow the prompts to browse, select and buy.  Our trader is Alex Black.
